Treatment

  Here is my treatment which is an overview of the film, often used by producers to promote the film.A treatment is completed usually before a script is completed as it is just a compact document, showcasing what the production could potentially be. Treatments are essentially a sales tool in order to convince a company/person your film is a good idea.They are an important step in filmmaking as they need to capture the overall tone of your film and highlight it in a good way, in order to move forward in production.

Film title: Squandered

Logline: A teenage girl gets lost in the woods and finds herself in the future.

Characters: Anonymous girl played by Elladee Brown

Location: Woods in Anston Stones

Duration: 5 minutes

Concept: The theme of this film will be a standalone thriller, set in the woods. It will have a dark feel and tone throughout. The film will only contain one character who plays different versions of herself, with a minimal script due to the main focus being the characters body language to portray the message of the film. It starts and ends with the girl entering and leaving the same way through the woods creating a cyclical structure to the storyline. In regards to climax or the films main event, that would be when the girl sees herself properly and recognises it as herself.

Epilogue: An element of mystery is created when there is no real confirmation or conclusion to the story leaving the end on a bit of a cliff hanger.
